Name

Acrylic Grafted Starch 300

Synonyms

Pharmaceutical grade acrylic grafted starch 300

Introduction

Acrylic acid grafted starch is an excipient, which is an additive other than the main drug in a pharmaceutical preparation and can also be called an excipient. The general requirements for excipients are stable properties, no incompatibility with the main drug, no side effects, no effect on efficacy, not easy to deform, crack, mildew, or be eaten by insects at room temperature, harmless to the human body, no physiological effect, no chemical or physical reaction with the main drug, and no effect on the content determination of the main drug.Acrylic Grafted Starch 300 is a functional material made by grafting acrylic monomers onto natural starch through copolymerization, combining the biocompatibility of starch with the physicochemical properties of acrylics.

Advantage

• Enhancing mechanical strength and elasticity of the gel matrix: Maintains the structural integrity and flexibility of the patch, providing lasting support.• Controlling drug release: Effectively regulates drug release rates, prolonging the duration of the drug’s effect.• Water absorption and retention: Increases moisture absorption, ensuring the patch stays moist for extended periods, preventing drying or falling off.• Skin adhesion: Improves the adhesion of the gel to the skin, preventing the patch from slipping or becoming ineffective.• Biocompatibility: The starch component is safe and non-irritating, suitable for long-term use.• Drug stability: Acrylic grafted starch protects drugs from environmental factors, prolonging their stability and shelf life.

Product Features

•High water absorption and high water retention performance.•The product has been registered in the Japanese Pharmaceutical Additive Specifications.•High thickening performance.
